On most meeting tools sharing replaces you with the thing you are sharing, and for as long as it is up they are looking at a document instead of at you. Do my clients need to install anything?
No, and they don't make an account either. They open your link in whatever browser they already have, type their first name and phone, and they're in the waiting room. The most common reason someone is late to a virtual session is friction at the door, and this removes all of it.
What happens if their connection drops mid-session?
The same thing that happens on any platform — video degrades and they may need to rejoin. Rivet doesn't fix a weak connection. What it does is keep the room open so rejoining is one tap on the same link rather than a new invitation.
Can I share my screen without disappearing?
Yes, and that's deliberate. Most meeting tools replace your camera with the shared content, so from the client's side you vanish for as long as you're sharing. Here your face stays on screen beside it.
How is this different from the video in my EHR?
You've probably answered that already by paying for something else alongside it. Records systems are built for charting and billing; the session is a different surface. Keep your EHR — this replaces the separate tool you bolted on next to it.
Is the session recorded?
No. There is no recording feature and nothing transcribes the hour. Notes are written by you afterwards and are never derived from session audio.
Can I use it for consultation or supervision?
